Künstler: Oleg Korolev


Künstler Oleg Korolev* was born in 1968
in Dauria (Siberia,Russia),- it is the same point of the Earths map, where was born famous Chingiz Khan, in the family of Soviet military officer, who was a self-taught artist and a musician; as well as a professional dancer.

In 1971 he, with the family moved to Lithuania (Vilnus), which then was a part of The Soviet Union. Where his father worked as a teacher in the local University in the Military department.

From 1979 Oleg studied in the Art School of the Classical Drawing as well as attended Musical School...

In 1981 the family moved to the Crimea , Ukraine ( also the part of the former Soviet Union).

From 1981 he studied in the local Art Studio , then in Art School till 1984...

From 1984 he studied in the Crimean Art College in Simferopol in the Painting faculty ...

From 1986 to 1988 he served in the Army and after this "enforced academic vacation", he returned to the education in the Art College.

In 1990 he graduated the Art College.

In 1992, 1993 participated in the group exhibition in "The Arnhem gallery", London,

in 1994 taken part in exhibition in "The Union of Artists gallery", "Art Effect", Simferopol. Then he travelled to Agrentina and after the return,

from 1995 to 1998 he prticipated in the local exhibition in Simferopol, the Crimea , Ukraine.

In 1998 traveled to Canada , participated in Art Festival "Russian Winter in Montreal", in "Vand-ArtGallery",

from 1998 - 2001 worked with German and Russian private collectors in various Art projects.,

From 2000 a member of the "Society of Art of Imagination",

in 2002,-All Media Invitational 2002 Period Gallery, Omaha USA Group exhibition,

in 2003- Ramsey Center for the Art, St.Paul, USA

2004- Participation in the Art Project of Professor Ernst Fuchs ( Klagenfurt, Austria)

Paintings of Oleg Korolev are represented in corporate and private collections in Europe and North America.

Artist statement:

A Transcendental part of human nature always looks for its own Eternal source and inevitably has doubt regarding visible reality. The conditionally perceived illusionary surroundings require examination and overcoming... Surrealism, through its inner absurdity and paradoxes , destroys trust in reality. It is an aesthetic game of the human imagination with a nostalgia for everlasting spiritual liberty. But Visionary Art has a different field of the play, the Contemplative artist is a participant of the action himself, he doesnt play with the help of mind by the symbols and their mechanical constructions anymore, but operates with energies, forces which bear the images, intuitive way ... A Visionary artist can not be Atheist, he always serves a certain Power and represents it by own creative activity and life. I would describe my art as a Contemplative one, which embodies a certain cognitive model of Mystic Reality and actually devoted to a Contemplation of a beauty of invisible Divine things...
